InnoLab Asia co-hosted a project with NSTDA and the Beijing International Exchange Association to accelerate the development of new generation leaders and entrepreneurs among member countries of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Framework.
On July 24 and 25, 2023, in Bangkok, the event “Lancang – Mekong Young Leaders and Entrepreneurship Acceleration Camp” was held at the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) (Building C, ASEAN).
Dr. Uracha Raktanonchai – NSTDA deputy director for administration – stated that the project aimed to accelerate the development of new generation leaders and entrepreneurs in the Lancang-Mekong cooperation member countries.
This program was a collaboration between the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), the Beijing International Exchange Association, and InnoLab Asia, that aimed to promote cooperation networks of researchers, specialists, scientists, and entrepreneurs in the Greater Mekong sub-region, with an emphasis on developing new generations of leaders and entrepreneurs in the Lancang-Mekong cooperation framework (which consisted of six member countries, including China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand). Mr. Cong-Thang HUYNH CEO – Co Founder of InnoLab Asia – stressed the importance of Lancang Mekong region collaboration and innovation in thriving together in the new age of a changing world.
This program built readiness for the new generation of leaders to enter competition in a new economic context by using science and technology as the basis.
“The important point is nurturing potential entrepreneurs through the process of cultivating the concept of Leadership and Entrepreneurship for new entrepreneurs (by developing basic skills according to individual aptitude) in order for them to have a perspective on the business. Since Technology and Innovation are linked together in this day and age, this program is critical in helping new entrepreneurs conduct business appropriately in order to create additional career opportunities and strengthen the competitiveness of the country in the present and in the future. In the future, Lan Xang-Mekong Group will be a business operations model that further drives business development in the country, enabling everyone to exchange and learn without limitations.” – said the NSTDA deputy director.
For the purpose of the project is to accelerate the development of young leaders’ and entrepreneurs’ potential in the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation countries, starting from July 24, the project participants would receive a Young Leaders Mindset Training from the Thai Startup Association, followed by a “Huawei Leadership” workshop from Huawei Technologies (Thailand) to achieve more benefits.
